Bringing that feel-good energy.

We're the newest face amongst the E.ON group of companies. E.ON Next is all about creating a sustainable future, now. We're moving our energy in the right direction, one little big step at a time. Join us in our mission to bring feel-good energy.

We’re also here to make this whole energy thing way easier for our customers. Like, really easy. That means providing exceptional service and using state-of-the-art tech to do it.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and resourceful Frontend Software Engineer who is passionate about building great products.

If you're creative and inspired to invent new ways to help build amazing products that customers love, please join us! We would really love to work with you!

We're using React with TypeScript on the frontend, along with GraphQL to get data from our APIs. We're using GraphQL Modules and AWS lambda functions to keep things organised in our "Backend for Frontend".#

Everything is hosted in AWS and we’re lucky enough to have CI/CD fully enabled alongside GitLab as our complete DevOps platform. Terraform also means we deploy infrastructure as code.

We're very proud of our current tech stack. We are at the leading edge of technology and with the help and guidance of all our software engineers, we want to keep it that way.

If this sounds like you, then we want to hear from you!

Here's a taste of what you'll be doing;

  • Create application frontends using React / TypeScript

  • Use a Server-less first approach to application design

  • Work in an agile team with other backend engineers and product designers.

  • Plan, build, test, and release new features and experiments.

  • Work with team members through pair programming and code reviews.

  • Help solve the challenges that come with large-scale systems and lots of data.

Are we the perfect match?

We know what’s important to us at E.ON Next, we’re looking for the brightest and best to join our awesome Platform and Product Engineering team and create the right culture to be the best.

We understand that these lists can sometimes be a bit intimidating and we don't mean it to be like that. If you get what we're on about here, send us your CV. We would rather chat through your experience than put you off because you don't tick every one of these boxes.

  • Experience with a scripting language, preferably Typescript

  • Experience with developing applications hosted in AWS

  • Experience with Serverless Computing such as Lambda and API Gateway

  • Experience developing Apollo GraphQL

It would be great if you had;
