Responsibilities

  • Strategic Business & P&L Leadership: Serve as the P&L owner and ultimate business manager for the Credit Card portfolio. This involves aggressive target setting and driving the end-to-end financial performance (revenue, cost, and risk metrics) with a critical focus on maximizing high-quality revenue streams by accelerating installment and revolve balance growth. Lead strategic initiatives across customer acquisition, usage, and cross-sell to ensure aggressive growth targets are met.

  • Product Commercialization & Innovation: Lead the end-to-end delivery and commercialization of new credit card products and features. This involves developing robust P&L forecasts, managing requirement scoping, securing risk clearance, and coordinating across all stakeholders (including card scheme negotiation) to ensure launches achieve defined business and financial outcomes.

  • External Partner and Scheme Management: Oversee commercial and legal contracts and manage relationships with key card schemes and service providers to drive commercial value and identify optimization opportunities.

  • Data-Driven Performance Management: Conduct deep analytical dives into card portfolio performance and transaction trends, translating data into actionable strategies that optimize P&L drivers, acquisition funnels, and usage patterns.

  • Risk & Financial Oversight: Work closely with the risk function to maintain a robust risk management framework and manage operational budget allocation and P&L projections, ensuring sound financial planning and compliance.

  • Regulatory & Compliance Adherence: Stay informed about regulatory developments and industry trends (especially MAS) to ensure full compliance with laws and standards related to payments and card operations.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with senior internal stakeholders, providing strategic updates, insights, and decisive recommendations related to card business strategy and financial performance.

Requirements:

  • Mandatory 8+ years of deep, proven experience in Credit Card P&L management, business strategy, or portfolio management within retail banking or fintech.

  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, specifically through initiatives focused on installment and revolving balance acceleration.

  • Exceptional analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills with a clear track record of using data to drive commercial outcomes and manage key P&L drivers.

  • Strong understanding of the card lifecycle, digital product development, and portfolio risk management.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage relationships with senior management.

  • Familiarity with MAS regulations related to cards and payments.

  • Confident, independent, self-driven, and highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
