Title:             Order Management and Estimation Representative

Next Door, an Allegion company, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Order Management and Estimation Representative to join our team in Hialeah, FL.  In this role, you will coordinate work in progress, review customer requests and project documents, and support both manufacturing and estimating processes.  This position requires initiative, independent judgment, and the ability to work cooperatively with a variety of personalities.  You will report to the site manager and work with limited supervision.

Job Description Summary

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the overall coordination of the work in progress assigned to you, including reviewing submittals, hardware schedules, hardware templates, cut sheets or other related information from the customer and/or project manager, and reviewing customer requests for quote. Your scope covers the understanding of Next Door’s manufacturing processes, product types and construction methods, shop drawings, release process, a working knowledge of compatible sub-components, hardware and engineering. Work involves planning, organizing, coordinating, data entry and preparation of manufacturing documents and proposals.  You will work with limited supervision with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. 

General Job Description

• Accomplishes organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Obtain and maintain a thorough knowledge of Next Door’s engineering and sales methods and procedures, general product knowledge and product characteristics, general and technical specifications of products for production usage and file management. 
• You will be required to create and develop goals for your specific job function that will support our organizational goals.
• You must engage, and complete assignments as directed, skill set and work scope by the manager.
• Any other duties as assigned by your manager.

Order Management Job Tasks:

• Creates and organizes manufacturing documents prior to release into production.
• Reviews customer source documents for completeness and correctness.
• Reviews customer source documents against quotation and business rules.
• Keys in product details into engineering system.
• Communicates issues to customer through customer service department.
• Tracks changes to project.

Estimating Job Tasks:

• Generates proposals based on customer source documents.
• Reviews customer source documents for scope.
• Keys in product data into pricing system.
• Determines qualifications and exclusions.
• Obtains pricing for items outside of the pricebook.
• Obtains freight pricing from freight system.
• Provides voluntary alternates where applicable.
• Communicates with customer through sales department.
• Logs proposals into tracking system.

What You Need to Succeed:

• College degree preferred
• Typically requires 2-5 years of relevant hollow metal or hardware experience. 
• Ability to work cooperatively with a variety of personality types. 
• Good written and verbal communication skills. 
• Must possess superior organizational skills and attention to detail. 
• Must possess problem solving skills.
