JOB DESCRIPTION:

JOB SUMMARY

The incumbent is a senior leader and will hold a critical position in the MD’s office and will be responsible for end-to-end design, detailing, execution, and project management of key projects for ANI India and the Indian Subcontinent. This role will be integral to the designing and implementation of strategic pillars of the ANI India Path to 1 Billion (PT1B) vision.

The position is responsible for working with and/ or leading cross functional teams across the commercial divisions and support functions of ANI India.

The incumbent will also work closely with the country and PA leadership team to ensure success of the acceleration plan, develop business in specific markets and channels through strong background in business development, strategic planning, and market analysis.

    CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
     

    India Acceleration

    • Strategize and track progress of India acceleration in line with the committed plan.
    • Identify both leading and lagging indicators, create metrics that predict future sales performance & identify areas of improvement through these indicators.
    • Closely track revenue, margin, growth, reach, KPIs, recommendations, engagements etc. in line with the acceleration plan.
    • Work with the Sales Leadership team to identify current infrastructural gaps, devise solutions and implement plans the same across targeted geographies.
    • Build contingencies through tapping new channels / geographies to support the trade execution.
       

    Future Proof Route-To-Market

    • Create and execute comprehensive strategies tailored to both Modern Trade and Traditional Trade channels to future-proof our distribution setup and drive medium to long term business growth.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape specific to all channels of Trade Sales.
    • Work on ‘Identify-Build-Transfer’ model as a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for robust sales reach programs
    • Bring outside-in innovations through Route-To-Market and acceleration benchmarking of competition ad larger adjacent FMCG landscape, including partnerships, licensing opportunities and digitalization.

    Strategic Project Management

    • Identify transformation initiatives and projects for ANI India based on short and long term business needs
    • Drive high-priority projects critical to business growth and development (e.g., margin optimization, sales acceleration, strategic deals, India governance model); will require working closely with GM, SLT members and cross-functional teams to drive requisite change and generate impact for the projects
    • Set up and work with relevant cross functional teams across commercial, manufacturing, supply chain, HR, finance and regulatory functions on projects
    • Drive strategic partnerships with external partners and other areas as needed
    • Collaborate with regional and global teams, as needed
    • Ensure timely reporting of critical business updates to region and division working with business unit and functional heads, as needed
    • Conduct detailed design of initiatives, bringing in best practices and insights from internal and external sources (market, competition and other industries) into the project design
    • Own the execution and delivery of all chosen transformational projects and ensure regular problem solving, tracking and de-bottlenecking
    • Distill insights and synthesize analysis & output into clear recommendation for GM and senior management

    Lead – Frontier Markets

    • P&L ownership and end-to-end leadership for acceleration of business in short and medium term for ‘ex-India’ markets like Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Maldives – largely untapped markets with population pegged nearly at 200 MM
    • End-to-End business planning, model reset, demand generation planning, route-to-market enhancements and other strategic elements including but not limited to distribution partnerships, medical affairs, marketing upstream and downstream, product sourcing, compliance, government affairs, regulatory and public affairs – in consultation with the GM.
    • Build the vision and strategic/ execution roadmap for 1-3-5 years horizon for the Frontier markets as an integral and important part of ANI India ‘Path to 1 Billion (PT1B)’ vision.

    Minimum Education

    Post Graduate

    Education Level

    MBA from a reputed institute, preferably with experience in a top tier firm, typically in management consulting or strategy

    MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

    Experience

    • 15-20+ years of work experience.
    • Exceptional people leadership skills, comfortable with leading cross-functional teams internally and externally.
    • Solid business acumen with in-depth financial knowledge and experience in strategy or sales and marketing . 
    • Strong problem-solver with the ability to present issues clearly and provide answers.
    • Ability to manage across organizational boundaries and lead cross-functional initiatives.
    • Exceptional analytical skills and comfortable with market research, analytics.
    • Ability to form strong relationships with cross functional stakeholders and key decision makers.
    • Superior communication skills (written, presentation, speaking, listening).
    • Energetic individual with a strong commitment for continuous improvement.
