Customer Experience at Walmart Global Tech

You will be a key member of the Mobile Checkout team – part of the Transaction experience – which owns responsibility for letting customers place an order. We think it’s the most important thing to get right for our 265 million customers.

What You’ll Be Doing:

1. Developing new user-facing features using Javascript (ReactJS).

2. Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.

3. Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.

5. Leveraging React Query for fetching, caching, and managing server state in applications.

6. Using GraphQL to consume APIs and handle data.

7. Performing code reviews and enhancing the code quality of the application.

8. Collaborating with other team members and stakeholders.

9. Keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies and integrating them into operations and activities.

Our Ideal Candidate will have:

1. Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.

2. Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles.

3. Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux).

4. Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js).

5. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.

7. Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.

8. Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.

9. Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.

10. Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git.
