Primary Responsibility:

Apollo is searching for a hands-on business-focused technology manager to lead the distribution intelligence technology team in advancing the overall experience and associated deliverables. The ideal candidate will have functional knowledge in Sales and Marketing processes and core data engineering technologies such as databases, BI, ETL and AI tools. The individual will work closely and partner with global sales enablement, analytics client management, operations, and finance teams to deliver on projects that provide the capabilities defined in the target operating model. You will learn new technologies, working on constantly upgrading your skill set and the products you work on to be at-par with the best in the industry. You will innovate and solve technical challenges in an effective manner that emphasizes a long-term vision.

You will design and deliver solutions for wealth management and Institutional asset management business initiatives. 

  • Designing and developing efficient data ingestion processes, data models, and data pipelines leveraging the power of Snowflake

  • Collaborating extensively with clients to gain a deep understanding of their data requirements and translating them into robust technical solutions.

  • Implementing end-to-end ETL/ELT workflows to seamlessly extract, transform, and load data into Snowflake.

  • Optimizing data pipelines to achieve exceptional performance, scalability, and reliability.

  • Conducting thorough data quality assessments and implementing effective data governance best practices

  • Monitoring and troubleshooting data integration processes to ensure the utmost accuracy and integrity of data.

  • Staying at the forefront of industry trends and best practices related to Snowflake and data engineering.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Looking for top-notch lead engineering talent who will be able to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment that demands quick turnaround for mission critical technical solutions, have extremely high standards with a low tolerance for low quality output.

  • Excellent oral and written, and problem-solving skills are required.

  • Strong background in computer science concepts.

  • Candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can help build APIs, Calculators, on new cutting-edge cloud and big data technologies such as Snowflake, Fivetran, DBT etc.

  • Minimum of 14+ years of experience building and managing data related solutions preferably in financial industry.

  • Knowledge of and experience with Master and Reference Data solutions (e.g., Semarchy) and processes a plus

  • Experience using ETL/ELT tools and technologies such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS a plus

  • Embrace data platform thinking, design and develop data pipelines keeping security, scale, uptime, and reliability in mind

  • Expertise in relational and dimensional data modeling

  • Ideal candidates should have strong analytical skills and a penchant for tackling complex problems and designs of scale.

  • Able to expertly express the benefits and constraints of technology solutions to technology partners, business partners, and team members
