How you’ll make an impact

  • Your main scope of work and accountability would be basic design for substation (Especially for HV products) like Single line diagram, Equipment specification (Rating, Capacity, Environmental condition), High Voltage Switchgear product – GIS and AIS also in technical clarification with customers, factory and internal stakeholders.

  • You will be into detail design supporting review equipment drawings and specifications, verify primary interface of equipment (bushing, cable and enclosure connections), verify secondary cable connections from schematic and logic drawings, check input/output, external communication and facilitate technical discussions with customers.

  • You will be into technical support such as technical presentations during pre-sales activity, internal/external technical report, technical communication with factory, support quality assurance, including factory and site witness testing as needed.

  • You will support for Investigation and introduction of new technologies and products into JP Non-UT Market and in comparison, and evaluation of IEC and Japanese standard to introduce HV product into JP Non-UT market.

  • You will identify and assess gaps between IEC-based product specifications and Japanese regulatory requirements also prepare documentation and explanations for customers when deviations from Japanese standards require approval and do engage in technical clarifications and communications with customers regarding regulatory compliance.

  • You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree.

  • Experience in the power electronics industrial area for min.5 years is preferred.

  • Certificate and license related to electrical systems and/or engineering

  • Knowledge of power grid industry and business aspect with basic knowledge of high voltage switchgear (CB, DS/ES, CT&VT, SA), power grid equipment and configuration, documentation and drawing related to power grid system, JEC, JEM, JIS standard and IEC standard, electrical business act and related regulation.

  • Understand mechanical drawing and electrical schematic diagram, experience of business communication with Japanese industrial customers.

  • Capability of pressure self-management and mind of work as a team.

  • Preferred basic knowledge of protection relay, substation monitoring and control system, protection and automated control system for substation.

  • Experience of electrical fault calculations and protection coordination, engineering for power grid facilities, basic design and detailed engineering for substation and submit documentation for METI and/or power utility company also holding experience to use ETAP or any other fault calculation software.

  • Fair communication in English, Fluent speaking, writing and reading in Japanese.
