The Division of Banking and Finance at Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University, is seeking part-time lecturers to teach undergraduate courses in Alternative Investments, starting from August 2026. Teaching will primarily take place on weekdays and the instructor would be responsible for all aspects of the course including in-class delivery, assessment design, and grading.

Alternative Investments is an upper-level undergraduate finance elective that provides students with a rigorous and practice-oriented introduction to the alternative investments landscape. The course will cover hedge funds, private equity, and other alternative investments such as commodities, real estate, and infrastructure. The course is designed for finance majors preparing for careers in investment banking, hedge funds, private equity, or asset management, and would suit instructors with strong academic training and/or industry experience in alternative investments.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates should have relevant industry experience in alternative investments (e.g., hedge funds, private equity, real assets, or related asset management roles).
  • Candidates should demonstrate strong teaching ability and a clear passion for university-level instruction, including engaging students through cases, discussion, and applied examples.
  • Candidates should hold a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or higher) in finance or a closely related discipline; professional qualifications such as the CFA or CAIA are an advantage.
