Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring exceptional customer service is provided in a courteous manner to maintain our reputation for friendly, effective, and personalized experience.
  • Responsible for management of all aspects of the Department, including ordering, merchandising, sales projections, employee scheduling and promotion of the department both in-store and outside of store;
  •  Responsible for the interviewing, training & coaching of new staff;
  •  Provide and promote excellence in customer service, sales, gross profit, presentation,      labour management, price integrity and inventory control;
  • Provide ongoing supervision, training, development and evaluation of department employees.  Train staff to deliver excellent customer service;
  • Work with the ASM and Store Manager to develop a new department and grow sales
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate Would Possess:

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Well developed leadership skills required;
  • Minimum two (2) years experience in an Apparel/retail environment, preferably in a managerial or assistant manager role;
  • Post secondary education/formal training in merchandising and/or business management an asset;
  • Demonstrated creativity in display merchandising;
  • Ability to make quick decisions regarding day-to-day situations to improve quality and efficiency;
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and night shifts.
  • Computer skills would be an asset;
  • Willingness to work with others and respond to change.
