Maintenance Helper

Hitachi Energy located in Alamo, TN is seeking a Maintenance Helper to join its team. In this position, you will follow safety and work procedures to perform preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and cleaning tasks on machinery, equipment, and building systems. You will also assist with and perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting while ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Performing routine checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure smooth operation.
• Helping with fixing, installing, or replacing electrical switches, outlets, fixtures, and plumbing components.
• Assisting with carpentry, painting, patching, and cleaning of buildings and properties.
• Moving equipment, setting up furniture, repairing inoperative equipment, and maintaining grounds.
• Assisting in keeping records of maintenance tasks and keeping the work area organized. 
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned

• Proficient in using various hand and power tools.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects, bending, standing for long periods, and working in various environments.
• Ability to identify and report maintenance issues.
• Strong, effective communication skills and ability to follow safety protocols. 

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic understanding of workplace safety rules, PPE, and safe equipment handling
• Manufacturing experience preferred
