What you’ll do: 

We’re looking for a Manager, Influencer Marketing who will be focused on influencer & affiliate performance based marketing, and executing omni-channel campaign activations —all designed to connect inspiring storytelling to easy buying solutions while driving mid-funnel conversions. This role is focused on gaining brand equity for Walmart, targeting new customers and growing revenue and traffic efficiently through execution and driving analytical expertise for the program. You will cultivate relationships with internal key stakeholders, creators & influencers, brands, and strategic partners that connect authentic storytelling with curated buying solutions 

You’ll work closely with our Content & Commerce, Social, Marketplace and Media teams, as well as leads across Marketing & Creative to manage some of our most critical strategic partnerships, spearhead cross-functional influencer activations to support our overall marketing initiatives. This role sits in the Content, Influencer and Commerce Group and is focused on influencer affiliate partners.

You will make an impact by: 

  • As part of a fast-growing team, you will lead a holistic influencer strategy with a performance driven mindset, including how we partner with influencers and creators, from niche to macro, across various social platforms creating engaging consumer content that drives consideration and conversion 
  • Empower and inspire creator discovery to result in a constant drumbeat of monetized content to speak to their audience about Walmart. 
  • Support channel strategy including budgeting, commission rates, forecasting, partner strategy, execution of campaigns end-to-end, creator composite, and how to best inspire and fuel the creator economy with product inspiration for Marketplace items. 
  • Ensure all influencer collaborations adhere to legal and regulatory guidelines, including FTC disclosure requirements. Stay informed about changes in influencer marketing regulations and adjust strategies accordingly. 
  • Convey an understanding of performance-based, ROI-driven marketing in the digital sphere, with influencers. Utilize data analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of influencer campaigns, partner with internal data analytics and digital marketing teams and provide actionable insights for optimization 
  • Evaluate and provide weekly reports and performance metrics, on the influencer marketing channel for selected retail categories.  
  • Offer strategic insights and ‘lessons learned’ based on data analytics and present well considered recommendations in share outs across the team, to agency partners, facilitating continuous improvement and informing future initiatives. 
  • Find new ways to creatively integrate influencer content/activations into cross-channel, digital marketing, and experiential activities, with full-journey measurement objectives. 
  • Act as an external and internal advocate, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive programs forward. 

You’ll sweep us off our feet if: 

  • You have a deep knowledge and expertise in the creator/influencer space, affiliate marketing, platform trends, measurement, and affiliate ecosystems, and influencer marketing. 
  • You have a proactive and performance driven mindset that focuses on channel health and ability to forecast, identify key drivers, vet new partners, optimize performance. 
  • You’re naturally in-the-know on up-and-coming influencer personalities, trends, and communities 
  • You love building from the ground up, and are a true self-starter in creating net-new, innovative programs, strategies, and content-rich storytelling moments. 
  • You’re experienced in launching new social and/or influencer campaigns, with success in achieving brand and/or performance marketing objectives. 
  • You’re a collaborator at heart, and enjoy working with other talented team members and external partners.
  • Not only will you get to work on one of the most entrepreneurial marketing roles at Walmart, you’ll also be empowered to hunt for innovative partners and influencers, structure working relationships in creative, dynamic ways, and launch newsworthy collaborations. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • A minimum 3-5 years of work experience in a related area (e.g. Affiliate Marketing, Partnership or Business Development, Marketing/Advertising/Digital, Media). 
  • Direct career experience in digital media, social/influencer networks and platforms, retail, and/or ecommerce. 
  • Data driven and comfortable reporting on KPI’s.
  • Established industry relationships and experience working with media partners and/or influencer networks. 
  • Effective communication and presentation skills – you’re equally comfortable hopping on the phone with a new potential partner, meeting them in person, or following up (with a “make things happen” attitude). 
  • A builder mentality, ability to build programs from the ground up and self-start.

The annual salary range for this position is $96,000.00-$186,000.00
