Boeing IT&DA has an immediate opening for Experienced Java Full Stack Developer to join the Software Chapter team, where our mission is to transform our IT&DA Software Development into the best in the aerospace and defense industry. We’re focused on enhancing the digital experience, fostering a product-centric culture, and implementing top-tier tools and processes. By optimizing automation and supporting our developers' growth, we aim to deliver value faster to Boeing, our customers, and partners.

This role will be based out of Bangalore, India.

Position Responsibilities:

• Design, Develop, test, and maintain web applications that meet industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards.
• Review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into initial design of software products.
• Develop, maintain, enhance, and optimize software products and functionalities for systems integrations.
• Develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products.
• Participate in the agile software development lifecycle including planning, reviews, and supporting customer meetings.
• Analyze, characterize, debug and resolve performance related issues to ensure reliability and efficiency of software products.
• Handle user inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues, and analyze user feedback.
• Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and changes in regulations relevant to software development.
• Develop, establish, monitor, and improve software processes, tools, and key performance metrics that align with organization goals and industry benchmarks.
• Execute and document software research and development projects.
• Advise on software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.
• Perform software project management activities and software supplier management functions.
• Track and evaluate software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process compliance to project plans and industry standards.
• Perform cost benefit analysis to help guide technical solutions

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience with full agile software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, end-to-end testing, and operations 
• 5+ years of full-stack development experience 
• Experience programming with Object-Oriented Programming languages including Java
• Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS
• Experience building reusable UX/UI components with Angular/React and libraries such as Node.js, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, mockups
• Experience with developing CI/CD pipelines within GitLab 
• Experience in working with scalable and reliable microservices and APIs such as REST
• Experience with zero trust technologies in the realm of application security, including but not limited to JSON Web Tokens, OAuth/OAuth2/SAML, X.509 certificates/mTLS, application reverse proxies, API security, cloud-native security solutions, and similar technologies
• Experience with common backend technologies such as PostgreSQL, RDS, and MongoDB 
• Experience with common backend frameworks such as Spring boot
• Experience with System Design, architecting and developing scalable, efficient, and reliable systems covering scaling, load balancing, caching, CDN, API design and communication, logging, and monitoring
• Excellent communication skills to work in a globally distributed team

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Additional Experience with .Net, C#, Python, SQL, NoSQL
• Experience with one or more cloud providers (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with Cloud Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Policy as Code (PaC) and platform engineering practices
• Experience in implementing and utilizing software development metrics dashboards
• Experience as an AWS developer or technologies related to Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code

Typical Education & Experience:

• Typically, 8-12 years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
