The Facilities Infrastructure & Safety (FIS) business unit is vital in ensuring the safety, security, and operational integrity of Stanford Health Care facilities while also managing disaster preparedness and complex building systems to foster a secure healthcare environment. FIS is made up of multiple departments aligned in focus: Environmental Health & Safety, Facility Field Services, Protective Services, Security Services, Office of Emergency Management, Facilities Engineering - Systems, Operational Technology, Facilities Engineering- Infrastructure, Facilities Services Response Center, and Facilities Administration and Operations.
Stanford Medicine Security Services (SMSS) provides 24/7 support across all Stanford Medicine facilities which include Main Campus, Regional Security, and the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, ensuring a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The team focuses on proactive risk management, access control, emergency responses, and risk assessments to maintain safety across all locations.

A Brief Overview
The Administrative Director of Security and Facility Field Services is responsible for the planning, direction and coordination of activities of Security and Maintenance & Repair (M&R) departments. This position is responsible for the overall protection of life and property at Stanford Health Care (SHC) and the maintenance and repair of SHC and School of Medicine (SOM) facilities by identifying, communicating, and updating departmental goals, operating policies, and defining objectives and responsibilities of departments and their delegating authority in order to provide optimum support. The Administrative Director of Security and Facility Field Services is also responsible for establishing and operating effective Security and M&R programs that foster positive relations with patients, visitors, and staff.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $100.03 - $132.51 per hourThe salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
