Position Summary:

Voya has an opening for a Network Security Engineer experienced in providing support for an enterprise network security environment including firewalls, intrusion prevention, web security, email security, denial of service, malware sandboxing, SSL visibility, access management in traditional data center and Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) deployments.

Responsibilities:

  • General support of the network security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion prevention, web security, email security, denial of service, malware sandboxing, SSL visibility, access management, and more.
  • Installation, upgrades, testing, and documentation for network security environments.
  • Work with vendors and service providers to evaluate potential security offerings, including product evaluations, pilots and proof of concept installations.
  • Recommend best practice solutions for network security environments, based on research of emerging products, services, protocols and standards.
  • Provide recommendations regarding direction of systems and applications to help secure access, data, and assets.
  • Assist in responses to internal and external compliance audits, penetration tests and vulnerability assessments.
  • Assist in day to day operations of network security environments, including end user/application tickets/issues, managing incidents and outages, and any required troubleshooting.
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot a mixture of different technologies as they pertain to the network security environment, including web traffic, network configurations, system configurations and upgrades, user authentication, and domain integration.
  • Ability to work well with other technology areas to deploy security technologies.
  • Ability to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
  • Ability to coordinate and articulate requirements to level 1 and level 2 operations team.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 4 year postsecondary education degree (Bachelor’s degree) with practical internship experience.  Master’s degree a plus.
  • Experience with supporting an enterprise network security environment, exposure and fundamental knowledge of firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), web security solutions, email security solutions, remote access VPN utilizing multi-factor authentication .
  • Exposure to with enterprise Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) deployment. 
  • Working IT security knowledge around identity access, data protection, system and application monitoring, system and application access, and access management integrations.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux OS environments.
  • Experience with enterprise change management processes.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

$82,760 - $103,450 USD
