As Team Lead Process Operations, you will lead a team of process and yard operators ensuring efficient execution of work, performance management, and resolving operational issues. You will lead the team focusing on health and safety, environmental compliance, and the reliable operation of the Ethanol Plant.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10 years of progressive operations experience in an industrial setting
  • Experience with people leadership in an industrial setting
  • Preference for a stationary engineering ticket and ethanol experience
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)


Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of process and yard operators, supporting our safety, reliability, and production initiatives; ensuring policies, procedures, and safe work practices are followed
  • Lead Operators in area of responsibility including performance management including qualifications assessments and monitoring of training and qualification status employees
  • Active and Integral Member of the Production Unit Team to drive operational and maintenance priorities within a rotating shift environment
  • Lead daily shift team meetings and monthly shift safety meetings with employees and follow up on concerns raised; participate in daily, weekly meetings, risk reviews and investigations
  • Assist with the planning for operational tasks such as equipment isolation, control of hazardous energy, and confined space entry preparation
  • Provide input to Maintenance team regarding priority, requirements, risks and operational impacts
  • Maintain a visible presence in the field to develop and support employee engagement; oversee and assess work process for effectiveness and opportunities.
  • Lead troubleshooting initiatives and engage appropriate cross-functional resources to analyze and correct operational and equipment problems, lead and participate in planned emergency response drills
  • Act as an on-scene commander or other required roles during emergency response


Location and other Key Details:

  • You will work out of our Ethanol facility in Ontario, located at 535 Rokeby Line, Mooretown, ON
  • The position will be on a 12 hour rotational shift schedule to support 24/7 operations of the facility
  • You may be required to work overtime to support operational needs
  • This position is safety sensitive
  • The position may require some physical work such as lifting, using ladders, working on elevated work sites and working outdoors
