Position Overview
Join our dynamic Tencent Finance team as Financial Accounting and Analysis Interns where you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in real-world accounting and financial practices. You will be having the role rotational exposure to the end-to-end accounting and finance processes, focusing on General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Finance Operations, offering you tailored hands-on experience in the complex commercial and business environment. This role is designed to provide you with a deep understanding of financial processes, contributing directly to the accuracy and efficiency of our financial reporting and operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger (GL), ensuring accurate and timely financial entries.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and variance analysis.
- Verify, process, and manage Accounts Payable (AP) transactions, ensuring timely vendor payments and handling any discrepancies.
- Support Accounts Receivable (AR) activities by assisting in customer invoicing, tracking payments, and managing overdue receivables.
- Collaborate with teams to streamline Finance Operations, helping to enhance process efficiency and support financial audits by preparing relevant documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards, contributing to continuous improvements across finance functions.
Requirements:
- Undergraduates in Accountancy or a related field, with graduation expected in the year of 2025 for potential full-time conversion purposes.
- Ability to commit to a 6-month internship, either full-time or part-time with 3 workdays per week.
- Strong ability to apply accounting skills practically, with a focus on problem identification and resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and self-motivation.
- Strong proficiency in both English and Chinese Mandarin, essential for liaising with China-based stakeholders and managing financial-related documents and memos.
