The Colorado School of Mines is looking for temporary assistance for our Benefits and Total Rewards team! Our ideal candidate has some experience handling Benefits activities during open enrollment, a demonstrated track-record of success working in a customer-facing role and has worked in a highly regulated, detail-oriented environment in the past.

With guidance and training, position will have responsibility for data input and data review into multiple benefits systems. These include Workday as well as multiple vendor systems for faculty (Anthem BCBS, Alerus, WEX) and the State of Colorado's benefits administration system Benefitsolver for Classified Staff.

This temporary position which will not exceed nine-months will be eligible for hybrid/flexible work.

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

 

·         Data input and data review in multiple benefits systems, such as Workday, Anthem, and the State of Colorado’s benefits administration system.

·         Update demographic data, entering new benefit information and changes.

·         This position will administer 2025 Faculty and Staff Open Enrollment in Workday and oversee the 2024 Wellness Fair to be held in November.

·         Assisting with open enrollment, including changes/enrollments/terminations of benefits.

·         Verify eligibility and documentation.

·         Run monthly reports to identify benefits changes and enrollments.

·         Reviews Workday for errors and works with the Total Rewards Directors to resolve issues.

·         Provides 1:1 benefits assistance to new and current employees.

·         Works with payroll as needed.

 

Additional duties may include administrative support, event management, executive assistant support, web/marketing support, etc. We are looking for flexible, energetic person who is highly organized, detail-oriented and possesses outstanding interpersonal, customer service and communication skills (written and verbal).

Temporary employment at Mines does not include benefits and duration of assignments vary from a few weeks to nine months. Pay Rate
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Mines takes into consideration a combination of candidate’s education, training and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required in the role, work location, and external market and internal value when determining a salary level for potential new employees.

Minimum Qualifications

·         2 plus years of administrative support experience


Preferred Qualifications

·         Prior administrative experience working in employment benefits

·         Previous, demonstrated experience working in customer-facing service roles

·         Experience with Workday highly preferred
