Summary:
As a Senior Software Engineer in the Oracle HCM Cloud Technical team , you will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering BI Publisher (BIP)/XML Publisher reports for Oracle HCM Cloud modules. You will collaborate with functional and technical teams to implement scalable and efficient reporting solutions, while also participating in issue resolution, enhancements, and client interactions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Design and develop BI Publisher (BIP) / XML Publisher reports based on business requirements.
• Create and maintain data models, RTF templates, and bursting controls for complex reporting needs.
• Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to BIP reports and provide timely resolution.
• Work on HCM Extracts, OTBI, and HDL/FBL when needed to support end-to-end HCM Cloud processes.
• Document technical designs, unit test cases, and deployment instructions as per project standards.
• Participate in code reviews, testing cycles, and quality assurance processes.
• Provide support for production incidents, bug fixes, and report enhancements.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud technical components, especially BI Publisher / XML Publisher Reports.
• Proficiency in developing data models, RTF templates, and working with HCM Cloud data structures.
Professional & Technical Experience:
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
• Good understanding of Oracle HCM Cloud schemas and security considerations for reporting.
• Experience in debugging and optimizing BIP reports for performance and accuracy.
• Exposure to HCM Extracts, HDL/FBL, Fast Formulas, and OTBI.
• Knowledge of Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or Oracle VBCS is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with report bursting and scheduling mechanisms.
• 4–7 years of total IT experience.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience specifically in Oracle HCM Cloud BIP/XML Publisher report development.
• Experience in at least one full-cycle Oracle HCM Cloud implementation or support project.
