Austral Cimentos Sofala, company dedicated to the manufacture of cement, headquartered in Dondo District, Samora Machel Industrial Zone, is recruiting Director for Strategy $ Sales with the requirements mentioned below to join its staff.

  • Cooperate with EAR Commercial Director and Area Directors to implement concepts and strategy of HM Group.
  • Prepare sales strategy with focus on micro-market positioning and customer management.
  • Building strong relationships with customers through negotiation and partnerships to implement strategies.
  • Manage sales contracts to ensure mutual beneficial agreements with clients.
  • Revise portfolio strategy, ensure its alignment with relevant stakeholders (e.g. production) and implementation in the market.
  • Work-out product positioning strategy including promotion tactics to improve ACS brand visibility in the market.
  • Analyze competition activities and implement actions to increase or defend ACS market share.
  • Prepare logistic strategy with focus on return-freight opportunities.
  • Oversee and support digital (Karibu, CRM) and commercial initiatives (NPS), identifying and assessing risks, helps in implementing strategies to protect company profitability and operational stability.
  • Preparing budgets and forecasting revenue ensures financial targets are met and resources optimized.
  • Collaborate with all ACS departments to align their objectives with business strategy.
  • Perform any other duties that management sees fit.

Qualification and Experiency

  • Strategic Market Insight: Proven ability to conduct comprehensive market analysis, interpret industry trends, assess customer needs, and evaluate competitor actions to inform and shape business strategy.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or Commercial Management; a master’s degree is a plus.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in commercial or sales leadership roles, with a strong track record of driving growth and profitability.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Portuguese is highly desirable.
  • Mobility: Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally for business purposes.

Industry Expertise: Prior experience in the cement or building materials sector is highly desirable.
