Patient Care Director – RN – Interventional Cardiology - Full time - Days

Our Patient Care Director is responsible for the management of clinical nursing practice, staff recruitment and retention, performance evaluation, supply chain and budget, quality improvement and internal and external regulatory survey requirements. The Patient Care Director collaborates with members of the interdisciplinary team and multiple professionals to support the coordination and management of exceptional patient care. Our collaborative team approach and patient centered nursing philosophy translates to better patient outcomes. The Patient Care Director position for Interventional Cardiology is responsible for managing the nursing and technical staff and patient flow in the Cath Lab, EP lab, and TEE.  These services are operational 5 days a week from 7am-8pm.   A PCD is needed to provide coaching, mentoring, education, and ongoing competency assessment of the clinical staff, as well as address operational needs for the 3 departments in Interventional Cardiology, such as quality review, staff performance reviews, timekeeping and service recovery/patient experience.

 

Preferred Criteria

  • American Nurses Credentialing Center approved national board Certification
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within a large academic medical center
  • At least 2 years of management experience

Required Criteria

  • Master's Degree in Nursing or related field if already holds a BSN degree. If currently pursuing a Master’s Degree, must obtain within 1 year of hire. Either bachelors or graduate degree must be in nursing.
  • BSN 
  • Current NYS RN licensure
  • At least 3 years of clinical experience - ie, Cardiac experience , Cardiac ICU
  • Proven nursing leadership experience, with a proactive approach to management, mentoring, team building and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary Range:

$150,000-$185,000/Annual
