Why this role is important?

NURSE IMMUNIZER

We are hiring a Nurse Immunizer for the upcoming Flu Campaign from October 2024 to January 2025 and other injections if required after patient assessment. Welcome patients in a professional and caring manner. Work with the pharmacy team to develop the service offering.

Responsible for:

· Registering patients for their vaccines

· Assess vaccination status and health status to offer indicated vaccines such as influenza, COVID,

pneumococcus, herpes zoster or based on the travel destination.

· Patient assessment prior to immunization and obtaining consent

· Drug preparation, administration, and documentation of vaccines

· After-care and administering first aid if required

Requirements:

· Must be licensed and in good standing with BC College of Nurses and Midwives

· Must have certification to administer vaccinations

· Completed the BCCDC Immunizations Competency Course for Nurses

· Up-to-date First aid and CPR Training

Hiring Range / Échelle salariale à l’embauche :

$35.00 - $45.00 / 35,00$ - 45,00$ (per hour / de l’heure)
