Director, Co-Op Sales – Indiana or Illinois
The Director, Retail Co-Op role will collaborate with cross-functional partners to manage all aspects of the Co-Op business including business strategy, inventory management, and retail execution. This role will define and lead the Co-Op vision by developing and executing a national strategy to address market needs, drive new business opportunities, and develop promotional plans. This position will lead the evolution of new ideas, drive organizational change, and promote collaboration with the sales and marketing teams to achieve business goals and growth for Allegion. This position is responsible for all sales and sales functions for National Accounts. Position includes direct responsibility for sales, demand planning/forecasting, program execution and field personnel within retail stores. The position deals with customer contacts from store level to Regional VP and internally interfaces with senior management, marketing, planning and distribution.

What You Will Do:
Develop and execute a strategic plan that will enable growth in the Co-Op channel
Collaborate with sales and marketing leaders to develop and drive Allegion’s short- and long-term revenue and growth strategies
Identify and pursue new opportunities within the channel for business development
Complete line reviews with customers and regularly advise customers of market and category trends
Manage third party manufacturer’s representative group by providing direction and tools to perform store service calls effectively
Develop training curriculum to ensure best possible representation at store level for customer's associates, service agency reps and direct reports
Provide strategic thought leadership to product management, finance, brand marketing, merchandising, channel marketing and digital marketing
Optimize sales per square foot by managing product mix, assessing market trends, and performing item maintenance
Work with Channel Marketing partners to create and execute events and promotions to drive sales
Provide guidance into sales planning and supply chain to ensure in-stock availability for retail channel partners
Manage buying programs and retail pricing in the channel
Manage fines, returns and defects to identify and correct reoccurring issues
Conduct and socialize annual competitive analysis within account channel
Lead demand planning/forecasting and support order management for the Co-Op accounts
Implement and enforce Allegion policy to ensure customer compliance with defined contractual commitments
Provide open communication, market/customer expertise and direction to broader Allegion team and leadership
Attend seasonal account trade show events, assisting as needed with the Schlage booth and meeting with account personnel such as buyers and/or regional managers
What You Need to Succeed:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or Technical field, Master’s degree preferred
10+ years sales/account management experience. Leadership and CO-OP channel experience preferred
Strong business acumen with proven strategic planning and a track record of profitable growth
Experience with new business development and/or implementation of marketing programs, leading to sustainable growth
Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to execute strategic initiatives
Ability to develop compelling reasons for action that radically improve customer experience delivery
Proven leadership skills with the ability communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
Experience working with field sales teams and/or manufacturer’s representative groups desired
Ability to balance multiple priorities, manage virtual teams, ensure support functions are adequately staffed, manage peaks and valleys of demand, ensure teams are well-trained and have appropriate tools
Ability to understand and implement change management methodology across virtual and co-located team structures including created a shared sense of urgency, contributing to shaping the right vision, engaging stakeholders, communicating relentlessly, keeping up the pressure/energy and aligning the organization
Preference given to candidates living in Illinois or Indiana
Ability to travel 30%

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
The expected Base Salary Range: $120,000-150,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
