Location: Remote with up to 50% travel.  Candidates must reside within one of the preferred locations. Those located within 25 miles of a DXC office are required to work onsite two (2) days per week

Overview:  DXC AdvisoryX is seeking an Industry Lead – Automotive & Industrial Manufacturing to help drive growth, client engagement, and industry transformation initiatives across the Automotive, Heavy Equipment, Industrial Manufacturing, and Mobility sectors.

This leader will serve as a trusted advisor to senior client executives, helping organizations navigate disruption, modernize operations, accelerate digital transformation, and unlock new value through operational excellence, AI, data-driven decision making, and emerging technologies.

The role combines industry expertise, consulting leadership, business development, and executive relationship management to shape and grow DXC's presence within the Automotive and Industrial Manufacturing market.

Key Responsibilities

Industry Leadership & Market Development

  • Develop and execute the AdvisoryX growth strategy for Automotive and Industrial Manufacturing across the Americas.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with industry leaders, including C-suite, business unit, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, and technology executives.
  • Serve as a recognized industry advisor and thought leader both internally and externally.
  • Represent DXC at industry forums, conferences, client events, and executive briefings.

 

Business Development & Growth

  • Identify, shape, and influence new consulting and transformation opportunities.
  • Partner with DXC account teams to expand existing client relationships and develop new logos.
  • Lead strategic client discussions focused on business transformation, operational performance, digital strategy, and AI adoption.
  • Support proposal development, solution shaping, executive presentations, and deal strategy.

Advisory & Transformation Consulting

  • Advise clients on operational excellence, supply chain transformation, manufacturing modernization, digital strategy, Industry 4.0, and AI-enabled business transformation.
  • Facilitate executive workshops, strategy sessions, and transformation road mapping engagements.
  • Help clients define future-state operating models and measurable business outcomes.
  • Partner with delivery and solution teams to ensure the successful execution of transformation initiatives.

 

Collaboration Across DXC

  • Work closely with AdvisoryX, Consulting & Engineering Services (CES), Data & AI, Applications, Cloud, Security, and Infrastructure teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Leverage DXC's global capabilities to bring innovative and scalable solutions to clients.
  • Support development of industry-specific offerings, accelerators, and go-to-market strategies.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years of experience within Automotive, Industrial Manufacturing, Heavy Equipment, Mobility, Supply Chain, or related industries.
  • Experience leading consulting, transformation, strategy, operational excellence, or industry-focused initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to build executive-level relationships and influence business decisions.
  • Experience developing and closing complex consulting, transformation, or technology-enabled opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain processes, operational performance, and digital transformation trends.
  • Executive presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within a leading consulting firm, technology services organization, or manufacturing enterprise.
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing, AI, Digital Twins, Connected Products, Supply Chain Technology, MES, ERP, or Operational Excellence frameworks.
  • Experience leading large-scale transformation programs across global organizations.
  • Existing executive relationships within Automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, industrial manufacturers, or heavy equipment organizations.

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $139,200 - $289,000.
