Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as a key member of Memorial Regional Hospital’s (MRH) administrative team and provides strategic financial leadership for both MRH, the flagship quaternary care hospital, and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital (JDCH). This role oversees all aspects of financial operations and reporting, including strategic planning, budgeting, capital investments, revenue cycle, and case management, with a focus on supporting complex inpatient and outpatient service lines, including organ transplant programs, cardiovascular care, Level I trauma center and Level IV NICU.The CFO plays a critical role in guiding financial decisions related to multi-year capital projects, including facility master planning and major campus expansion initiatives.Responsibilities:
Supports various aspects of Case Management operations with a focus on throughput and efficiency goals in collaboration with system VP of Case Management .Leads, mentors, and develops high-performing finance teams in a large, complex healthcare environment.Fosters a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement within the finance team and across departments.Provides financial reporting and analysis to the CEO and executive team to support data-driven decisions.Manages overall hospitals’ risk exposure and ensures compliance with all federal, state, and regulatory financial requirements.Oversees financial aspects of large-scale capital projects, including multi-year campus expansions and facility master plans.Directs all financial operations including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, reimbursement, and revenue cycle.Optimizes payer contracting, reimbursement strategies, and cost management across inpatient and outpatient services.Leads the development and execution of long-term financial plans, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and sustainability.Provides strategic financial leadership to support the mission, vision, and goals of both hospitals.Collaborates with clinical and operational leaders to ensure the financial health and efficiency of complex service lines, including transplant services, cardiovascular programs, trauma, and pediatric care.Competencies:

Complexity of Work: Demonstrated success in financial oversight of major capital projects and multi-year facility planning. Deep understanding of hospital finance, healthcare reimbursement, and regulatory compliance. Required Work Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive financial leadership experience with, at least, five (5) years as a CFO or senior financial executive in a large, complex hospital or health system, managing financial operations of pediatric and adult care settings.Experience in academic medical centers or quaternary care hospitals strongly preferred. Other Information: Additional Education Information: Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required.Additional Information: CPA certification is preferred but not required.Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
