We are looking for a proactive and pragmatic Compliance Advisor to take charge of embedding our new compliance framework across the business. In this dynamic role, you’ll manage compliance obligations, oversee the Compliance Register, and foster a strong culture of compliance through collaboration and training. You’ll also lead compliance monitoring activities, prepare insightful reports for stakeholders, and ensure our major projects meet all regulatory requirements. Job Description

  • Compliance Management: Proactively identify compliance obligations and maintain an up-to-date Compliance Register, ensuring it reflects current regulatory and corporate requirements. This includes organising necessary documentation and procedures.
  • Foster Compliance Culture: Collaborate with teams to embed a strong compliance culture, providing staff training on ACCIONA Energia’s obligations.
  • Governance Support: Prepare agendas and reports for Board and Audit and Risk committee meetings, and lead compliance working groups to ensure accountability.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Conduct compliance monitoring, process reviews, and risk assessments, preparing reports for stakeholders and regulators.
  • Project Compliance: Ensure compliance obligations are met in major projects, supporting business improvements and strategic goals.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in auditing, legal, or regulatory compliance.
  • Compliance experience in highly regulated industries such as utilities, mining, oil & gas, or infrastructure.
  • Ability to understand and develop knowledge of legislative, policy, and procedure requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and teams.
