WHAT THIS ROLE IS ABOUT:
Work in compliance with all safety standards and Good Manufacturing Principles - keeping work area, equipment, and production floors clean, safe, and in compliance with all food safety requirements
Monitor and operate the required equipment in the powder area
Complete training period and perform tasks of an Operator I when required (cross-train)
Responsible to complete all paperwork, including weight check forms and product labelling
Take samples to be tested for food quality
Sanitize and clean production area
Regular manual material handling of 25 kg bags of powder
All other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Relevant post-secondary education will be considered an asset
Experience working with process controls and computer-based systems will be considered an asset
Ability and willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends
Must be able to obtain a forklift license and elevated platform or scissor lift training
Previous experience in a food production environment will be considered and asset
Strong communication and leadership skills
Team player
Strong mechanical aptitude
Must be able to work at heights
Must have the ability to exercise good judgment and work in a safe manner
The right candidate should be flexible and looking to advance to Operator # 1
