eBay, Inc. seeks MTS 1, Software Engineer in San Jose, CA

Job Duties: Design and develop new experiences for eBay sellers and advertisers to promote their products, manage their advertising campaigns, and run their businesses using HTML/CSS, UI Frameworks like ReactJS, Markojs etc, Node.JS, Java, and Scala. Design and implement efficient, reusable, intuitive, and flexible front-end components using open-source technologies and eBay-specific technologies. Evaluate and define storage needs and issue technology recommendations, defining domain services, interface definitions, and testing architecture.  Assess technical problems, design optimal solutions, and drive implementation to meet business expectations. Contribute to technical conversations, execute as part of a multi-functional Agile team, and rapidly deliver iterative value to customers. Utilize knowledge of coding and testing standards to develop and deliver quality code to Production.  Operate within our internal open-source community where we share a variety of projects and codebases. Build, test, and deploy code in a continuous manner. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Salary: $157,000.00 - $205,700.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
