Job Description​

The Opportunity:

Saint Luke's South Hospital in Overland Park, KS is hiring a Pharmacy Intern. Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, the intern performs all accountabilities associated with compounding, dispensing, and delivery of medications to the patient. This role is designed to provide hands-on clinical experience in preparation for future licensure as a Pharmacist, ensuring all activities comply with State Board of Pharmacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the accurate compounding and dispensing of patient medications
• Manage medication charging and delivery processes
• Perform pharmacy tasks under continuous pharmacist validation to ensure patient safety
• Gain practical pharmaceutical experience while adhering to state and federal legal requirements

Qualifications

• Licensure: Must possess a valid Pharmacy Intern License
• Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy or a Pharmacy Early Assurance program
• Alternative: Applicants with a Pharmacy Technician registration who are eligible for an intern license
