Overview:

Builds and maintains vendor and customer relationships at the transactional level, prepares and processes financial transactions and communicates with vendors, customers, management, and sales to support achieving sales goals.  Provides job support to newer team members.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare loan and lease documentation in a timely manner; receive executed documentation from vendors and customers and review for accuracy; return executed documents with identified errors back for correction.
  • File UCC (Uniform Commercial Code) liens and research business verification to confirm legal names and other information as applicable.
  • Provide proactive and accurate verbal and written communication to dealers, sales representatives, end users, and/or others as required due to documentation issues, transaction originations and/or post-booking changes and/or questions as needed.
  • Coordinate delivery and acceptance of the leased equipment with customer; reconcile any issues prior to funding, obtaining any necessary change addendums to ensure correct documentation is in place.
  • Run pertinent reports as required; update core systems with needed information based on the reporting.
  • Input lease applications into the appropriate system.
  • Research and resolve dealer and/or sales disputes related to transactions, documentation edits, email responsiveness, etc.; escalate more difficult or complex situations to more experienced personnel.
  • Provide training and guidance to new hires and less experienced team members.   
  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.  Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  • Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

Associate’s degree and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 4 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience

Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent word processing and spreadsheet software        

Proven typing skills

Proven verbal and written communication skills       

Detail-oriented

Proven mathematical skills                

Education and Experience Preferred:

Prior equipment leasing experience

Knowledge of business-specific systems

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $23.04 - $38.40 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
