Provides expertise and systems support in developing and enhancing business systems for SAM area to provide new or enhanced products to clients or effective planning, reporting, and analysis tools to internal functions.
Primary Responsibilities
• License Compliance & Governance
• Verify licensing business rules, purchase entitlement, and usage to generate a compliance report using tools like Flexera and SNOW.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring license records are accurate and up to date.
• Identify and report to remediate unauthorized or unlicensed software.
• License Cost Optimization
• Collect and analyze data for budgeting, cost comparisons, cost avoidance, and savings opportunities.
• Assist in forecasting software spend by business unit and product tier.
• Document findings and follow through on cost-saving initiatives with Business Owners.
• Operational Support & Reporting
• Respond to requests from end users, managers, and developers for SAM data.
• Generate reports on software usage, license allocation, compliance status, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain data in structured formats for dashboards and executive reporting.
• Software Inventory & Lifecycle Management
• Build and maintain inventory, license, usage of licensed software across the enterprise.
• Track software lifecycle from request, approval to retirement.

Qualifications
• Master’s / Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or Business Administration, or equivalent experience Req
• 10+ years of experience managing Flexera tools or similar SAM platforms
• Understanding of software licensing models (Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, etc.)
• Experience with ITAM, SAM, CMDB, and enterprise IT environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid infrastructure.
• Familiarity with FinOps, SaaS
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
