What You'll Bring:

  • Ability to review, interpret and negotiate contract terms with a strong familiarity with the commercial insurance industry.
  • Strategically partner with finance and business to build captive insurance programs

  • Strong financial acumen, including familiarity with accounting principles, forecasting and budgeting.

  • BS/BA Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in risk management, finance, or a business-related field and a minimum of 12+ years of Insurance and Risk Management experience.

Impact You'll Make:

  • You will provide strategic insurance risk management leadership and expertise across all business units and the company’s global footprint in the areas of risk identification, risk control (loss prevention), and risk financing to attain maximum protection for the company at the most economical rate.
  • This person will lead in the development of a strategic company-wide risk management/insurance programs.
  • This person will develop business relationships with insurance brokers, underwriters, contractors, consultants, field and corporate personnel across all lines of insurance.
  • Directs the development, implementation, administration, and claims management of programs and policies designed to mitigate liability and risk exposure to the company.
  • Strategically manages insurance programs to include a global professional liability/network security and privacy liability, management liability, property, primary and excess casualty, foreign liability and other insurance policies.
  • Evaluates risks as to frequency and potential severity, including property values, assesses those risks that are and are not insurable, and works cross functionally to assist in the measurement of financial impact to the company.
  • Strategically counsel business units on insurance risk management.
  • Prepares and presents insurance reports and recommendations for management.
  • Directs and manages the process in insurance program negotiations, selects insurance brokers and carriers, and places insurance.
  • Lead program globalization efforts and assist foreign operations with non-admitted local placement of insurance policies where applicable.
  • Reviews and manages policy renewals, claims administration, issuance of insurance certificates, budget planning and forecasting, and risk mitigation programs.
  • Work closely with workmen compensation insurance program administrators, brokers, and internal teams to manage claims appropriately and accordingly based on statutory and internal guidelines.
  • Negotiates favorable, non-standard insurance language in customer, vendor and sub-contractor contracts; coordinates with in-house legal counsel and or third party risk management staff to negotiate insurance requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations relating to insurance, where the company conducts business.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a proactive approach to identifying coverage gaps, program structure changes and benchmarks.
  • Directs and leads internal and external process improvements, and overall management of the company’s insurance risk needs.
  • Lead comprehensive insurance certificate management approach.
  • Ability to work with brokers and internal finance teams to accurately budget based on industry trends and outlook.
  • Ability to work with internal and external stakeholder to manage insurance needs across all lines for acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, and or partnerships.
  • Work collaboratively with internal Real Estate and Data Center teams on Property recommendations, inspections, values, and changes based on company needs.
  • May also have supervisory responsibility involving staffing, conducting performance appraisals, training, and developing direct reports.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
