About the Role: 

 

This dynamic role within a busy team would allow the individual to work closely with all areas of the Creative department. A very high degree of attention to detail and an ability to be reactive to last minute changes is a must. A deep understanding of the Virgin Media brand and values, as a whole, whilst also knowing the tone, feel, and target audience of each of the individual channels is essential 

The Promotions & Presentation Assistant is an entry level role that will work closely with the Promotions, Presentation, Social and Continuity team under the Promo department umbrella, helping with the day to day work flow across all areas, involving material, messaging and admin. The role will also require the candidate to cover certain roles across the department including presentation editor, promo production and elsewhere.  

 

Specific Duties & Tasks: 

 

  • Assist with workflows across the Social, Promotional, Presentation, and Continuity team delivering support for material, delivery and contributing to a department wide cohesive strategy. 

  • Sourcing content to ensure all departments are equipped with correct assets and access from internal and external stakeholders.  

  • Work with wider team to develop, build and implement menus, credit squeezes, IPPs, continuity and sponsorship material.  

  • Ensuring all assigned material approaches are hitting TX, social or delivery deadlines. 

  • Working closely with department supervisors to ensure department wide material needs are met.  

  • Assist with continuity and social scheduling, and contribute to a cohesive output approach.  

  • Assist supervisors and teams with packaging and delivery output. 

  • Play vital role in chain of delivery to ensure that output items are correct and available when required. 

 

Skills & Expertise 

 

  • Working knowledge of Avid Media Composer. Further training can be provided 

  • Working knowledge of scheduling tools. Further training will be provided 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word essential 

  • Stringent attention to detail essential 

  • A keen interest in the Irish television and sporting industry preferred 

  • Knowledge of current media and social media trends 

  • Working knowledge of After Effects is an advantage 

  • Previous administrative role or comparable role is an advantage 

  • Excellent attention to detail, someone who cares about quality in everything they do 

  • Great working attitude with an emphasis on working together as a strong, cohesive unit
