As the Senior OCS Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for the supervision of Subcontractors for the OCS Overhead Catenary System Supervisor is a pivotal role in the railway, ensuring the reliability and safety of the ocs electrical systems that will power the trains, This individual is responsible for the supervision, construction and maintenance, and operation of the overhead catenary systems. The role demands a combination of strong technical skills, leadership capabilities, and a deep commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

On viaduct and depot areas with non-ballasted section with ocs poles and track slab construction, ocs installation section is a ballasted area in depot , supervisor to ensuring they are delivered to time, quality and scope. As OCS Construction Superintendent you will play a leading role in supporting the OCS Construction Manager in the management of the construction activities. This is a Permanent full-time position based in Manila.

The key accountability of the role includes but are not limited to:

  • Work in close collaboration with the project site team, Client and Engineer, Authorities, Supervision of subcontractors to deliver the OCS Traction system to the project’s safety, cost and time requirement.

In charge of OCS activities including but not limited to: OCS installation of both depot catenary system and Viaduct OCS, and overseeing and  motivate the  subcontractor teams of catenary system technicians and engineers.   - Organize training, toolbox talks and health and safety briefing sessions for staff on the latest technology and safety practices in catenary systems.

  •    - Develop and foster a safety-first culture within the team.
  • Carry out routine daily site inspection and spot checks of the Subcontractor’s works and tracking of works schedule including internal inspections with QC Engineers prior issuing of request for inspection to the Client.
  • Coordinate a team of site engineers to carryout condition survey and hand over inspections with the electrical and Civil works Contractors and relevant stakeholders prior to site taking over / site access, in preparation to OCS.
  • Produce daily site diaries and weekly construction and installation progress reports.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical background.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated competency in legislation and standards relating to Construction and Health & Safety.
  • Outstanding planning and organizational skills.
  • Site management and team management
  • Knowledge of software tools and technical systems.
