The Digital Manufacturing team within GF aims to develop, implement and scale digital solutions for all GF sites. The team covers a broad portfolio of use cases ranging from yield analytics, metrology, predictive maintenance, indirect material consumption monitoring, productivity and lean fab.
Your Job:
As a Data Scientist, you will be reporting to Analytics Center of Excellence (CoE) Manager and support in a pivotal role within the Data Science team and assist in the provision analytics technical requirements. You will support your manager to initiate the best-practices in analytics use case development/deployment/ scaling/maintaining the data science projects. You will assist your Analytics Center of Excellence (CoE) Manager in fostering partnership with Artificial Intelligence (AI) vendors/start-ups.
Your specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Work closely with Analytics Center of Excellence Manager to define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
Support the Analytics Center of Excellence Manager in initiating, designing, developing, and programming methods, processes, and systems to generate actionable solutions on several use cases.
Collaborate with cross-functional team to identify opportunities for artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and other digital manufacturing initiatives.
Collect, clean, and preprocess large volumes of structure and unstructured data from various sources to develop use cases.
Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover insights and patterns that can inform decision making process optimization.
Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including Fab leadership, in a SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-Bounded) manner.
Stay updated on the latest trends and advancement of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and evaluate their potential applications to support digital manufacturing initiatives.
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Multiple years of experience in data science, machine learning, or related roles, with a focus on digital manufacturing or industrial applications.
Strong programming skills in languages such as MS Macro, SQL, Python, Java, Power BI, etc.
Solid understanding of statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization principles.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into SMART recommendation actions.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong understanding of data management principles, analysis methodologies, and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters in data science or a related field
