POSITION:               Group Sales & Subscriptions Coordinator

REPORTS TO:         Subscriptions & Group Sales Manager

ASM, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Group Sales & Subscriptions Coordinator at ASM Global – Altria Theater and Dominion Energy Center.  The Group Sales & Subscriptions Coordinator will service and manage Broadway Subscriptions and facilitate group sales efforts for our Richmond venues.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Administration Responsibilities:

  • Group Sales
    • Assist with the development of sales initiatives to generate sales of events through school groups, corporate groups, tour groups, etc.
    • Manage and grow group sales database
    • Establish group sales targets for events
    • Work with promoters and presenters to set and meet sales goals
    • Track group sales by event and relate progress to promoters and presenters as needed
    • Oversee group reservations by creating and distributing group invoices and tracking payments, to include sending over-due notices and distributing tickets
    • Actively work alongside the Marketing and Ticketing departments to create up sell packages for group sales
    • Prepare information for settlements with promoters and Finance department
    • Work with Subscriptions & Group Sales Manager to set sales team schedule and manage team

  • Broadway in Richmond - Subscriptions
    • Assist with all elements of the Broadway in Richmond Subscriptions to include invoicing, ticketing, managing subscriber calls and distributing required reporting to promoter
    • Assist part-time staff with incoming patron calls and emails, including inquiries, ticket exchanges, ticket fulfillment and customer service.
    • Manage group sales for Broadway in Richmond shows to include managing call volume, invoicing and ticket distribution. Prepare information for settlements with promoters and Finance department.

  • Manages, trains and directs work of Group Sales Team.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills, responds promptly and professionally to customer needs, responds to requests for service and assistance, addresses complaints and solves problems
  • Responds to customer complaints and service requests to maintain a positive rapport with the ticket buying public.
  • Maintains accurate count when selling hard tickets/accesses computer for count of computer printed tickets.
  • Work with Finance Director, Director of Ticketing, and Subscriptions & Group Sales Manager to provide competitive analysis, lead generations and prospecting lists.
  • Assists or sells tickets as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 1-year related experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in customer service and public relations preferred

Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated knowledge of ticket selling/box office operations
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving, and organizational skills required
  • Able to work independently and handle most group sales questions without assistance.
  • Ability to analyze data and figures
  • Ability to coordinate and schedule staff
  • Ability to count money, make change accurately
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with computerized ticket systems, Etix preferred
  • Available to work flexible hours based on events, including daytime, evening, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Creative thinker, with ability to think outside of the box
  • Strong, outgoing personality, with the ability to build relationships to better the business of the company
  • Lead by example, motivate, and assist with directing part time group sales assistants
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills
