Position Summary:

Assist in the development and delivery of the Structured Products by expanding the product range, executing transactions with external providers and supporting private bankers in the distribution of financial and structured products. The job-holder is an integral member of the Capital Markets Team within the Products  department who will be an effective team player and assume new responsibilities in other product lines, such as in the execution of listed securities, to make a distinct contribution to the Trading & Capital Markets team’s overall targets. The job-holder will need to manage, prioritize and balance a complex range of financial data and information, a variety of processes and systems, multi-channels, stakeholders, legal and regulatory issues in order to deliver distribution targets and revenue growth.

The Sr. Capital Markets Trader reports to the Trading & Capital Markets Director.

Position Duties / Responsibilities:

Trading & Capital Markets Responsibilities:
• Executes and originates debt notes and structured products for client accounts.
• Ensures compliance for best execution, and trading activity with approved counterparties to ensure that criteria established by Committee is adhere to on an ongoing basis.
• Ensures a high quality execution that complies with all policy and procedural guidelines developed for the function.
• Ensures all activity is compliant with our regulatory status, Risk limits & guidelines; and internal requirements
• Works closely with Risk, Legal and Regulatory areas to ensure all changes are reviewed and compliant with our regulatory status and internal requirements.
• Identifies potential issues and risks and manage effectively, keeping key stakeholders informed.

Customer, Market, Products, Sector & Technical Knowledge :
• Knowledge and understanding of our customers, our introducers, the market and our competitors. 
• Assist in the development of innovative and creative propositions, processes, approaches and incentives to ensure profitable achievement of targets for financial products.
• Use extensive technical knowledge in financial markets and structured products to assist in the implementation of the Investment Products
• Ensures the delivery of products and services to plan, especially for new product launches
• Ensures that all administrative steps necessary for the efficient running of the new products activity, both primary and secondary, are carried out
• Secures executive level approvals as required.
• Report on success of new initiatives. 

Salesforce Support:
• Ensures that regular contact with the salesforce is kept to offer technical advisory assistance during product campaigns via meetings, conferences and other communication channels.
• Gathers product and services feedback from the salesforce and incorporates it in the products proposition to improve its attractiveness to the target customer sectors respectively.
• Identify opportunities for bespoke products tailored made for specific clients.

Stakeholder Management:
• Day to day stakeholder management of internal relationships, such as Risk, Compliance, Legal and Publications departments.
• Maintains strong relations with brokerage and the product provider community.
• Building strong and effective collaborative relationships across the business and with key clients,  family offices and institutional investors

Other duties as assigned or requested by immediate supervisor

Specialized Knowledge:

• Mathematical aptitude and financial comprehension

• Detailed derivatives and structured product understanding, linked specifically to Private Banking

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to deal effectively with team members, commercial team and vendors. Ability to work closely and co-operatively in a small team environment.

• Good understanding of investment analysis, products, different asset classes and asset allocation

• Versatile and flexible that can manage a number of transactions/projects at the same time, is accommodative to change and can deliver against deadlines.

• Experience with Investment Applications: Bloomberg

• Strong analytical skills with expertise in Excel, Word, Powerpoint and other widely used presentation software packages.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work under own initiative and with little supervision.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience 

Business Experience:

7-10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated required level of proficiency  

Technical Knowledge:

Professional Financial qualifications preferred ( CFA, EFPA, FSA, CMA)

Licenses / Certifications 

Languages: Spanish, English   

What Else You Need To Know:

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Base Pay Range:

Minimum:

$112,500.00 USD

Maximum:

$180,000.00 USD
