Citi Wealth Investment Solutions is seeking a Global Head of Hedge Funds, a key growth pillar for our Alternatives Investment Manager Solutions (AIMS). The candidate will be responsible for a team that oversees the daily management of all third-party hedge funds on the AIMS platform, including origination, diligence, and structuring of investment opportunities for Citi Wealth clients  The Head of Hedge Funds will collaborate closely with Citi Wealth Chief Investment Office, Platform Management, Sales Specialists, and other key functional partners that support the broader Alternatives and Investment Manager Solutions  business. This position will report into the Head of AIMS and be responsible for driving business growth through strong performance of market leading hedge fund solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of analysts identifying, sourcing, diligencing, and monitoring Hedge Fund offerings across key strategies (e.g., equities, credit, Long/short, event-driven, diversifying, etc)
• Contribution to overall investment strategy, design, and implementation of portfolio and risk guidelines aligned with Wealth CIO views
• On-site prospect/client interactions, client maintenance, and support of sales/marketing initiatives
• Stay abreast of trends and news, maintain proactive views, and communicate conclusions/recommendations concerning pertinent sectors and macroeconomic trends and developments
• Implement research views into hedge fund offerings across various structures (HF UCITS, interval funds, feeder funds, fund of funds)
• Monitor risk of client accounts and utilize quantitative tools to analyze portfolio exposures and risk-factors
• Participate in investment meetings and work closely with other Citi Wealth investment professionals to discuss views on market events and analysis
• Monitor existing investments and industry developments
• Participate in research coverage responsibilities including preparing analysis of certain companies/sectors and attending sell side conferences and corporate management meetings
• Interface with internal and external clients to support new business activities and client retention initiatives
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards
• Utilize specialty knowledge to review, analyze, and develop beyond existing solutions
• Ensure solid partnerships and cross selling opportunities across range of products such as banking products, cash management, foreign exchange, credit, capital markets, and wealth management to deliver comprehensive services and solutions for clients
• Establish and maintain relationships with risk, business risk, compliance, and other relevant groups within Citi, as well as develop and ensure execution of the business strategy, and manage risk and compliance
• Partner with other global, regional, and country leaders to share best practices and drive business strategies, solutions, and client centric solutions to differentiate Citi in the marketplace and achieve substantial growth targets for the business
• Attract, motivate, develop, and retain talent

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of direct experience in the asset management industry including 10+ years’ managerial experience, preferably in a portfolio management and/or deal origination role
• Strong academic record
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship management skills
• Experience with face-to-face client interaction
• Strong analytical skills and technical insight
• Understanding of risk factors that drive investment performance
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability and desire to mentor more junior team members
• Expected travel: 20% of time

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master’s degree preferred
• CFA preferred
