The Position:


GENERAL PURPOSE
The Logistics Clerk will be responsible for delivering supply goods, mail, copy center items, office supplies, and any other transportable items to the Indianapolis campus locations for downtown, Plainfield, Lawrence Fairbanks, Lawrence Public Safety, and Automotive Center. Inventory assisting with the Logistics Shipping Lead and the Assistant Director of Logistics and Equipment will be required and collecting information related to stocking and filling orders.

 MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver goods and services for the Indianapolis Campus locations.
  • Plans, organizes, and maintains inventory items in the warehouse.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the transportation vehicles used for delivery.
  • Works with facilities leadership in maintaining the vehicle maintenance.
  • Provides backup support for logistics and custodial services where necessary.
  • Completes work tickets as assigned and communicates with supervisor and team members.
  • Performs, as necessary, portion of the physical tasks associated with the program.
  • Inspects the College sites regularly to ensure accomplishment of building and grounds maintenance including trash and parking lots.
  • Ability to communicate via Microsoft team and hand-held radio.
  • Communicates with personnel and outside organizations to exchange information, coordinate activities and resolve issues or concerns.
  • Drives a vehicle to conduct work.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance.
  • Move safely up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
  • Must be able to travel to buildings within the Indianapolis service area utilizing College vehicles.
  • Must be able to hold or obtain an Indiana driver’s license.
  • Must be detail-oriented and thorough as well as flexible for changing situations.

Pay Scale: $15.00 - $17.00 hourly

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Individual must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the College insurance
  • carrier.
  • Significant physical effort is needed.
  • Required to work on ladders, work over your head, heavy lifting (over 50 lbs
  • repetitively), twisting, bending and exposure to hot and cold environments.
  • The successful candidate must also have the ability to follow oral and written
  • instructions competently.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience working in an academic or state organization.
· Industry-related training and certifications
