Our iOS team is dedicated to integrating this mission into our native applications, including those for iOS, visionOS, tvOS, and macOS. We aim to deliver comprehensive solutions for all users, ensuring feature parity across mobile apps and the entire Vimeo platform.

We are looking for an experienced and skilled iOS Manager to join our Mobile team at Vimeo. As an iOS Manager, you will work with an exceptional team that develops Vimeo products for Apple platforms. This team is committed to implementing industry-standard solutions that enhance growth and user engagement across our native apps.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in iOS development, including 3 years in a managerial role, a strong passion for innovative technologies and design, and the ability to adapt to changing project needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor a team of iOS developers, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of iOS projects, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Review and approve technical designs, architecture, and code to maintain high standards of software quality.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and scope.
  • Develop and implement strategies for iOS app development that align with business goals and market trends.
  • Establish and maintain best practices for development, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience across all applications.
  • Analyze app performance and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in iOS app development, with a strong portfolio of released applications.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role, with a focus on tech leadership and project management.
  • Solid understanding of Swift, Objective-C, and iOS frameworks.
  • Experience with backend integration and RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of App Store submission processes and guidelines.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
