Cost Engineering Senior Manager leads a team to develop, implement, and manage components Cost Models and Estimates. They create Benchmark Cost Models and review estimates for existing and future products. They ensure the coverage of the company spend with best in class estimates and ensure communication with Procurement to facilitate negotiations. Responsibilities include risk identification, variance analysis, and providing technical guidance to enhance profitability.

General Responsibilities
• Provide leadership to the cost engineering department, setting organizational vision, strategic priorities, and driving workforce development initiatives.
• Development, validation, and continuous improvement of cost estimates, budgets, and forecasting methodologies for critical programs.
• Lead advanced variance analysis and trend monitoring, proactively steering risk mitigation strategies and championing large-scale cost optimization across multiple projects.
• Authorize and supervise comprehensive audits of invoices, change orders, and project expenses, ensuring adherence to contract standards.
• Foster collaboration with stakeholders and senior project managers to shape resource allocation frameworks and drive sustained profitability at the portfolio level.
• Oversee the enhancement of cost databases, estimating systems, and documentation of best practices to uphold methodological integrity.

  • The Procurement Senior Costing manager
  • Leads the development of detailed cost models and defines software tools for accurate cost estimation and analysis.
  • Determines best landed cost by analyzing all cost components (materials, labor, logistics, duties) to optimize profitability.
  • Define the Procurement costing support/software requirement, Drive the company decision and execution to support reaching full spend coverage
  • Benchmarks internal costs against industry standards to identify and close cost gaps, supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Manages and develops high-performing cost analyst teams, setting KPIs and driving continuous improvement.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, finance, and operations to integrate cost strategies across the product lifecycle.
