What you will do

As a Continuous Improvement Analyst intern, you will support the operations team in various data-related tasks and lean activities. You will assist in building PowerBI dashboards, handling data requests, and providing insights for decision-making. In addition, you will focus on Industrial Engineering (IE) within the warehouse to drive continuous improvement. This will involve conducting process analysis, identifying opportunities for optimization, and implementing IE methodologies to enhance operational efficiency. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will be instrumental in improving warehouse processes and achieving continuous improvement goals.

How you will do it

· Collaborate with the operations team to build PowerBI dashboards, providing visually appealing and insightful data analysis to support decision-making.

· Utilize Power Apps to develop user-friendly applications that streamline processes and improve efficiency within the organization.

· Develop Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to integrate data from various sources into the existing database, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.

· Utilize Power Automate to automate repetitive tasks and workflows, increasing productivity and reducing manual effort.

· Utilize Azure Data Studio to build ETL connections, perform data transformations, and manage data pipelines effectively.

· Apply knowledge of linear programming to optimize operational processes, identify bottlenecks, and improve resource allocation.

· Support lean activities to improve operational processes and reduce waste. This may involve conducting process mapping, VSM, and implementing process improvements.

· Focus on Industrial Engineering (IE) within the warehouse to drive continuous improvement. Conduct process analysis, identify opportunities for optimization, and implement IE methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.

· Participate in Six Sigma initiatives, contributing to data analysis, process improvement projects, and overall continuous improvement efforts.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, particularly the operations and engineering teams, to provide insights and support process optimization efforts.

· Actively participate in team meetings, sharing ideas and insights to contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

What we look for

Required Qualifications:

· Master’s degree in industrial engineering, Business Analytics, Computer Science or a related field.

· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as PowerBI.

· Experience in developing user-friendly applications using Power Apps.

· Knowledge of ETL processes and experience in developing ETL solutions.

· Proficiency in Power Automate for workflow automation.

· Experience with Azure Data Studio to build ETL connections and manage data pipelines.

· Knowledge of linear programming and its application in process optimization.

· Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and experience in process improvement initiatives.

· Experience in AutoCAD

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team setting.

· Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

· Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university

· U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.
