Job Description

In this role, you will lead product direction for the foCus policy team — a business-critical platform that powers core insurance experiences across quoting, servicing, and renewals. You will operate at the center of customer experience, regulatory delivery, and operational efficiency, shaping solutions that make it easier to do business with Allstate while modernizing a foundational platform for the future.

You will partner closely with engineering and business stakeholders to define outcomes, prioritize delivery, and translate complex needs into clear, executable product direction. This role balances new feature delivery, production health, and regulatory commitments — requiring strong product judgment and the ability to bring clarity to ambiguity.

This is a high-impact opportunity for a product leader who thrives in complexity, drives measurable outcomes, and wants to influence experiences that directly impact customers, agents, and business performance at scale.

Accountabilities

  • Own and drive the product vision, roadmap, and priorities for the foCus policy team, aligned to business goals and customer outcomes
  • Translate complex business, regulatory, and operational needs into clear product direction, prioritized backlog, and delivery-ready user stories
  • Partner with engineering to deliver both new capabilities and production stability through a single, outcome-focused backlog
  • Lead Discovery and Framing and Inception sessions with stakeholders including sales, underwriting, compliance, law, and business architecture
  • Define product vision and strategy, balancing strategic goals with execution, while managing technical debt
  • Define and track meaningful success metrics to measure customer value, operational performance, and delivery outcomes (KPIs)
  • Support end-to-end testing, production releases, and validation
  • Co-own and lead incident responses and root cause analysis with the Managing Engineer
  • Clearly communicate product strategy, decisions, and progress through reviews, demos, and stakeholder engagement
  • Participate in after-hours Emergency Conference Call (ECC) bridge calls as required

Qualifications

  • Strong product leadership experience in complex, cross-functional environments with competing priorities
  • Ability to translate ambiguous problems into clear outcomes, priorities, and execution plans
  • Proven strength in backlog management, user story definition, and delivery sequencing
  • Ability to influence and align stakeholders across business and technology
  • Advanced communication skills, with the ability to present clearly and tailor messaging to diverse audiences
  • Data-driven mindset, using metrics to guide decisions and demonstrate impact
  • Comfortable partnering with engineering teams in outcome-based delivery (OBD) environments
  • High ownership, sound judgment, and adaptability in fast-paced, evolving contexts

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with insurance policy administration, underwriting, or servicing platforms
  • Experience working in regulated environments with compliance-driven delivery requirements
  • Knowledge of Extreme Programming (XP) or Agile methodologies
  • Experience supporting agent or customer-facing journeys with a focus on efficiency and usability
  • Strong facilitation skills across discovery, prioritization, and stakeholder alignment sessions
  • Familiarity with product, operational, and delivery performance metrics
