Quetext.com is an established leading plagiarism and AI detection platform serving subscribers from around the globe. Quetext subscribers include students, teachers, copywriters, and business professionals, as well as leading public and private colleges, high schools, and primary schools.

The platform is looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to help lead the platform into its next growth phase fueled by LMS integrations and continued feature development. This role will lead development and will help oversee planning, project management, and code development working closely with leadership, project management, marketing, and operations.

This role is remote but candidates within 3 hours of the EST time zone are strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities: 

· Oversee maintenance and development of Quetext and LTV Fund portfolio applications

· Help lead development efforts to build out high-quality, innovative, and fully performing scalable software, complying with the highest coding standards

· Design and execute full software development life cycle;

· Write well-designed and testable code;

· Work with a third-party team of developers;

· Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility;

· Integrate software components into a fully functional software system;

· Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures;

· Document and maintain software functionality;

· Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems;

· Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback;

· Comply with project plans and industry standards;

· Ensure software is updated with latest features; and

· Other ad-hoc software duties as required by the business

Required Qualifications:

· Experience with developing interactive, customer facing applications and websites; experience with mobile texting a big plus

· Software development foundations: solid software design patterns and scalable web service APIs principles;

· Experience with test-driven development;

· Proficiency in software engineering tools; and ability to document requirements and specifications

· BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field;

· 5-7 years’ experience in a similar position;

· Experience in mentoring junior developers;

· Experience in project management;

· Required Technical skills: Senior-level experience in NodeJS with ExpressJS, JavaScript with JQuery

· Additional skills: Stripe API, MySQL, Redis, Docker, Amazon RDS, EC2, ECS, PHP + Javascript, JQuery, ElasticSearch; WordPress DevOps certifications a big plus
