Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead and oversee a team of account managers, providing guidance, support, and coaching to drive performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Be the primary account owner for the accounts on their Account Managers and Sr Account Managers.
  • Develop sales strategies and opportunities to support the entire Werner portfolio.
  • Develop customized logistics solutions to meet the unique needs and requirements of our customers, leveraging industry knowledge, best practices, and innovative technologies.
  • Collaborate with execution teams to identify opportunities for new business development and expansion of existing accounts.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer account leadership, building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Lead team to manage customer relationships, ensuring alignment with expectations, contractual agreements, and service level agreements.
  • Monitor and evaluate account performance, analyzing key metrics and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies to provide strategic insights and recommendations to internal and external customers.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of account managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in sales or logistics management, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful solutions.
