Summary: As a Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, coding, and testing multiple components of application code using Apache Spark. Your typical day will involve working with Spark, performing data analysis and munging to extract insights and patterns from large data sets. Roles & Responsibilities: - Lead the development and deployment of Spark-based applications for data processing and analysis. - Design and implement scalable and fault-tolerant Spark applications for large-scale data processing. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain Spark-based applications. - Perform maintenance, enhancements, and/or development work on Spark-based applications. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Apache Spark. - Good To Have Skills: No Industry Specialization. - Strong understanding of distributed computing and big data technologies. - Experience with data processing and analysis using Spark. - Experience with Spark-based application development and deployment. - Solid grasp of data munging techniques, including data cleaning, transformation, and normalization to ensure data quality and integrity. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Apache Spark. - The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering impactful data-driven solutions. - This position is based at our Kolkata office.
