09The Team: The Fundamentals & Estimates Team is a Capital IQ Solutions team responsible for the delivery of new products, product enhancements and the go-to-market strategy for Fundamentals and Estimates on the S&P Capital IQ Pro and S&P Capital IQ platforms. The team works in close collaboration with internal divisions and teams — Technology, Content, Sales, Marketing, Account Management and Client Services — as well as with our clients to create and deliver the roadmap for Fundamentals & Estimates.
The Impact: The Associate Product Manager, Fundamentals & Estimates plays an integral role supporting the strategy and execution of our Fundamentals & Estimates offering on the desktop. Product Management offers exposure to all S&P Global Market Intelligence divisions and clients and opens doors for tremendous career opportunities within S&P Global.

Responsibilities:. In the role, you will support developing, enhancing and delivering the Fundamentals & Estimates offering across the S&P Global Platforms. You will also be responsible for interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to ensure what we build drives real client value. You will work closely with Content, Technology, and Commercial to design, develop and promote solutions catered towards driving value for our clients. Your job is to create the best possible Fundamentals & Estimates products and services for our clients, key activities include:
Support Product Managers in defining and executing on the roadmap from concept through launch for Fundamentals & Estimates
Acting as Product Owner on an agile scrum team
Create and maintain user stories and a product backlog that describes the end goals, and demonstrates the value to our client both external and internal
Prioritization of the product backlog and setting the vision/expectation for the stories within the scrum team
Liaise between the development team and stakeholders, end users, business and customers to define requirements, prioritize delivery goals, resolve impediments and communicate progress
Partnering with stakeholders to envision new products and enhancements and create user stories and wireframes
Analyze and incorporate client feedback to drive product enhancements
Support the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for product roll-out/launch
Conduct usage analysis along with market and competitor research
Become a subject matter expert to assist relationship managers, new sales, and client support with demonstrations and product/workflow understanding as it relates to Fundamentals & Estimates
Conduct product testing of the existing platform and new enhancements to ensure all released solutions meet our high quality standards
Work closely with the development (technology) scrum teams to progress product development in a Scaled Agile environment
What We’re Looking For: Our ideal candidate will have strong product thinking skills and user experience sensibilities along with an understanding of company financial data. Successful candidates will combine an understanding of the data with building and working on web-based applications. The ideal candidate should be able to work well in a team, be highly self-motivated with the ability to execute independently.
Basic Qualifications:
BA/BS in finance, business, mathematics, engineering or related fields
2+ years of relevant work experience
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum or SAFe process (Experience as a Product Owner/Scrum Master of a SCRUM team a plus)
A professional, highly dedicated, detail-oriented, and energetic personality, with the ability to work and thrive in a team environment
The ability to analyze and solve complex problems and show creativity in problem solving e.g. taking a new perspective using existing solutions
Excellent influencing, negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Product management experience working with Agile/Scrum
Ability to understand client product challenges and contribute to defining and communicating solutions
Experience working with fundamental data, with a solid understanding of financial statements including experience with financial statement analysis or accounting
Good knowledge of global financial markets
Knowledge of Investment Management / Investment Banking / Capital Markets workflows; and associated user segmentation within
SQL query knowledge
