What We'll Bring:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting & Compliance Analyst to support our Costa Rica operations. This role is ideal for a finance professional with 4+ years of experience, strong analytical capabilities, and a passion for operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be bilingual (English/Spanish), possess a CPI certification (highly desirable), and ideally hold a CPA license. Experience with Blackline or similar reconciliation tools is preferred.

What You'll Bring:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (advanced coursework preferred).

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.

  • Strong knowledge of Costa Rican financial regulations, including Free Trade Zone and PROCOMER.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal, written, and visual communication).

  • Experience with Blackline or similar reconciliation tools.

  • High attention to detail, integrity, and commitment to excellence in financial reporting.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to explain variances clearly and concisely.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPI Certification (highly desirable)

  • CPA License – Costa Rica (nice to have)

  • Experience in costing, customs, and Free Trade Zone operations in medium to large companies.

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and implement best practices.

Impact You'll Make:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and communicate impactful financial analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across the business.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve workflows, establish KPIs, and drive operational efficiency.

  • Provide timely and accurate financial insights to support decision-making by internal stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, including Free Trade Zone and PROCOMER requirements.

  • Support GCC operations in areas such as audits, taxation, forecast, month-end close, and internal controls.

  • Manage monthly and annual tax filings and reporting, including:

    • PROCOMER Canon Reporting

    • Annual Operating Report for PROCOMER

    • Month-End Close activities (actuals, accruals, adjustments, depreciation)

  • Maintain and reconcile the Fixed Assets Auxiliary for both corporate and local purposes.

  • Assist in internal and external audits, payroll matters, and statutory book completion.

  • Oversee customs processes and manage imports via the TICA system.

  • Partner with Procurement, Legal, and Strategy teams on Free Trade Zone-related matters.

  • Ensure timely and accurate bank reconciliations and compliance with internal control standards.

This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.
