Content Acquisition Team is chartered with one of the initiatives to build an audit organization that validates vendor submissions (in terms of content and images) to meet Walmart’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) & Style Guides and work with vendors to retrieve additional information as needed. The team will also set standards for content acquisition and deliver high quality catalogue across omni channel platform to provide better user & customer experience across thousands of Walmart stores and ecommerce businesses.
Your Opportunity
eCommerce is a top priority and growth area for Walmart, all set to further accelerate with the growing internet penetration and smartphone adoption. As a member of Content Acquisition Team, you would be working on improving Catalogue data quality. It would involve building products through software engineering in the domain of Catalogue management, machine learning, big data etc. As the product manager for the Content Acquisition Team, you would be responsible for defining the roadmap for Search Algorithmic improvement, System Capabilities, etc
Position Responsibilities:
Champions a Content vision, strategy, and roadmap for multiple programs, in support of corporate goals and objectives. Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
The role is on the Content Acquisition Team, part of the area responsible for the development and management of the Walmart Product Catalogue. The role will be to directly engage with multiple stakeholders, to develop and execute a strategy that supports the improvement of content quality.
Develop and maintain relationships with the stakeholders at all levels in the organization. Drives the specific needs for multiple programs. Organizing programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization. Become proficient in the use of the tools the team uses. Be a content expert, understand all the various types of product attribution and content and which content types will have the most impact on product performance. Understand the way the Walmart Catalogue works, how products are categorized, how website facets are managed and how internal product hierarchies are managed. Be able to work in a true matrix organization while being a mentor to all team members. Must be aware of Quality Tools required .

Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology or related field and appropriate experience in Retail catalog operations, Marketing, Merchandising or information technology 2+ years’ experience in Retail catalog operations, Marketing, Retail Merchandising, Information technology or related field Demonstrated experience with a Supplier to Walmart or Agency in a role related to Item Setup, Product attribution Demonstrated experience in Catalog management, Customer Experience, Program management and or Data Analysis
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge in metric management Stakeholder management Excellent Communication skills Good Analytical skills Highlighting validation gaps, recommending solutions, driving/influencing inter-function decisions with ops, tech and product teams MS Excel proficiency – ability to mine voluminous data for specific detail according to instructions provided Work in a matrix, influence without authority Attention to detail, persistent drive to understand details of process, tools Ability to get to the root cause of a problem Process development and implementation - Identify opportunities to eliminate process redundancy Strong commitment to deliver programs and projects in timely fashion Ability to handle delivery management across transactional processing organization Ability to help merchants and suppliers understand technical and process related concepts Knowledge of Product attribution, Product Content, Product page optimization.
