Reporting to the Training Manager, the Training Coordinator is responsible for executing Sanimax’s onboarding, training, and development programs. The ideal candidate has operational experience in a manufacturing environment with practical experience as an operator, technician, or in a related technical role, combined with a passion for training and coaching. The Training Coordinator will be responsible for operational, technical, and software training at the Green Bay plant.

Main Responsibilities

1. Execution of the On-the-Job Training Program

  • Develop, update, and improve training materials such as learning handbooks, work instructions, operating manuals, training videos, procedures, courses, etc.
  • Identify, coach, and support floor/departmental trainers.
  • Maintain an up‑to‑date employee skills matrix.
  • Contribute to the identification of training needs.
  • Contribute to developing, updating, and improving the training program.
  • Ensure the follow‑up and proper execution of the training program with key stakeholders (supervisors and managers).
  • Perform Instructor and Learning Partner roles in Sanimax’s Learning Management System (Workday).
  • Record all training activities (operations, safety, maintenance, environment, quality, etc.) in Workday.
  • Coordinate training logistics (employee availability/schedules, trainers, equipment, rooms, etc.) in collaboration with district stakeholders, People & Culture, and others.
  • Issue and monitor key indicators (KPIs) related to training.
  • Train employees according to the training program:
    • Learn the operation of production equipment.
    • Teach the knowledge, skills, and abilities required by employees in training.
    • Act as a trainer‑coach for floor/departmental trainers.
    • Recommend certification of employees, extend training time, or stop training as needed.
    • Refresh the knowledge, skills, and abilities of current employees.

2. Execution of the Plant Onboarding Program

  • Develop, update, and improve the plant onboarding program for new employees in collaboration with People & Culture.
  • Execute the onboarding program.
  • Act as a guide and reference person for new employees.
  • Follow up on onboarding activities conducted by operations colleagues.

3. Coaching and Expertise for Operations Trainers

  • Become a certified trainer, as required.
  • Participate in the development of a “train‑the‑trainer” program at the district level.
  • Train and coach operations trainers.

Qualifications and Knowledge

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industry as an operator or in a technical position.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience coaching/training plant employees.
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Solid understanding of a manufacturing or production environment
  • Experience with a Learning Management System (LMS), such as Workday or another platform, is an asset.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal). Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
