Key/Essential Functions & Responsibilities    

  • Create the monthly schedule for LPNs

  • Provide oversight to LPNs and CNAs

  • Train staff on colostomy, enteral feeding tubes, wound care, catheterization, turning and positioning, and utilization of the Hoyer lift system as per OPWDD guidelines

  • Medication management and medical oversight   

  • Oversee training of direct care staff   

  • Document medical appointments and medical issues   

  • Inform care managers and parents of any medical changes   

  • Provide on-call support (telephone only) on a rotational basis   

   

Minimum Qualification Requirements including education, experience, licensure/certification, etc. and essential physical capabilities (e.g. lifting, assisting lifting, standing, etc.) Minimum requirements of specific positions may vary by assigned function and/or contract. Please refer to applicable regulations/contracts for all position requirements.    

  

All job title must meet the following minimum requirements:    

  • NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License   

  

Preferred Qualification Requirements (desired requirements beyond MQRs above)     

  • Med/Surg experience   

  • Experience with intellectually and developmentally disabled population   

   

Compensation:   

  • $85,000.00-95,000.00; based upon education and experience

   

Schedule:   

  • M-F 9a-5p
